The white cap in the center of the connector in your pic pops off with a small screwdriver. Gently pry it straight up and out of the connector. I think that cap is what they are calling the secondary lock.

Secondary locks are usually internal. Harley has lots of different connectors. This type may be the one you insert a pin tool into the upper slot and pull the plug outward to unlock it. Haven't tried it, just a thought.

Thank you (again). I was trying to pop it "up", when in reality it slides out the end if the connector.

What took me 2 hours can be accomplished in about 20 minutes, now that I know 1. Right side cover vs left. 2. Slide the white cap out the end of the connector.

Don't feel bad, I made the exact same mistakes. The instructions for this harness weren't very intuitive. Would've save me a lot of time and cussing if you would've created this a week ago.

Not any help to your question but did you already buy the seat. I know the HD heated seat is like over 700 bucks. Did you know that Mean City Cycles will put heat pads in your seat for like just somewhere over a 100 bucks. I'd be shipping my seat to them unless you already bought your seat

I bought a heated Mustang Summit seat thru Two Cycle Guys. It's firm, but sits me back right where I like to be. The heat is outstanding as well.

Glad to help, it took me some time to figure out how to get the connector apart too.

I just finished installing the accessory wiring harness. I would not have gotten through it without this thread. The tough part was figuring out how to get the white plug out of the connector. KY HDRider's explanation helped with that. Thanks

Hey Chief,

Glad to help.
Got my start in electronics in the Navy, CTM1 when I separated after 10 active. Worked with many AT's while stationed on Guam in VQ1.

there is a harness that plugs into both the left and right side with a relay on it, but it only come with the switches add on. I believe the left side connector #04 is a non-relay. the right side 325A uses a relay (Auxiliary Power Switch Kit - Fairing Mount
Part Number 71400129).
