Default Another 2017 M8 Oil Pump Failure

2474 miles. Had it towed to dealer. Was coming back from trip and about 90 miles from home.

Down deep down I knew better, shouldn't have bought it, I'm a dumb *** . . .

What pisses me off is I loved riding that bike - was really a joy.

This truly sucks swamp water. I truly can feel your pain. I went through two of the new twin cams when they first came out. At least the MoCo sent in a special factory team both times with a new engine. Kind of makes me laugh thinking of them trying to get the crate engines on board as a carry on. From Milwaukee to Dallas.

I imagine they will. That is what the mo co did with mine. They wanted to see what caused the failures. In fact, both times the factory told the dealer not to touch it. They had to wait for the factory team.

You're not a dumb ***. You were hopeful that a company like Harley Davidson would be able to bring a new variation of something they've been doing for over a century without major issues. It's still too early to say, but your trust may have been misplaced.

I think HD will make your bike right as they've already done for others. I'm sorry you're having trouble but sincerely appreciate your account on the forum so others can at least hear of first hand experience.

@mstobes - water.

Thanks all for the comments. I'll be sure to post back on updates. Those that have posted before me helped me recognize what was wrong very quickly and better prepare me for the next steps with the dealer. I was very tempted to continue on @ 80 mph and completely melt it down.
