I am having trouble with my 2015 Limited heated grips working. When I need them, they don't work, but when I am heading to the dealer, and try them again, they work fine. So something is wrong, but is intermittent. Still under warranty so hopefully can get them not to work when close to the dealer.

My 17 FLHTK did seem one side was hotter than the other. After using them for a short while they seemed to have equaled out. Never measured the heat from one to the other so it very well could be in my mind.

My 17 FLHTK seemed to work fine. Only had to use them once but was surprised at how hot they got. Once they were warmed up, I could only run them between 1 and 2 on the settings.

I have the stock heated grips on my '14 FLHTK. I do notice that the right grip seems to be warmer but I think I have to attribute that to the way I'm holding the grips. My right hand is usually wrapped around the throttle/right grip. My left hand is usually more relaxed so that only the heel & palm of my hand is contacting the grip. My times my fingers are extended over the clutch lever. I think this would allow most of the heat, produced by the grip, to escape. I'm waiting for someone to measure the heat with one of the IR temperature sensors.

My first M8 test ride was a RGU. I really loved the shark nose. When i found out it was $500 more than the Limited i still wanted it. Then i noticed no heated grips. I bought the Limited instead. Bummer the Moco did that.
