Certain Fram filters have cardboard, others don't. Champion Laboratories makes the HD filters, but Champion Labs was bought out by Fram in 2013, so now "Fram" makes the filters. There's no telling what's in the HD filter unless you cut it open, like this guy did (spoiler, no cardboard):

I have no doubt Wix is great. The Harley filters are unchanged over the last 5 years. Seeing the inside of a Harley filter looks vastly superior to the basic Fram. The HD filter looks like the inside of a Fram Ultra filter.

When I change my oil I'll cut mine open.

This guys goofy but you can see the all metal construction of the HD filter (4 years ago):

The $58 Amazon special highway pegs have arrived. I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. I'm sure the bolts are not stainless, but the chrome and pads looks just as good as anything. These are well worth the $58 ($140 savings vs HD). We will see how they stand up over time. No issues with them moving around on the crash bar either, as some reviews state.

Had the air hawk for years, just can't get it set right ever.
Too much air feels like you're sliding around on the seat, too little, not much relief.
No matter how much air, never felt right.

I rode 300 miles yesterday and I felt better than without it. I agree though, it takes considerable tuning to get it setup exactly where you need it. Do you feel like it's better to have more air than not enough?

I had put one full breath in it and that was way too much. Then I took off on my ride. During the ride I would let a little air out to see how it would feel. Once I felt pressure of the seat, I stopped and put a tiny little breath in and left it there (essentially just enough air to where I could not feel the seat, but I could feel the air shift around). That setup doubled my time to hip discomfort (from 2 hours to 4 hours). I did not feel any butt-burn like I had previously. I feel like there's more to get out of it.

Yeah B, I felt like less air was better.
I sacrificed a a little comfort so I could setup and handle turns better.
I treat it as if I put a long day in the saddle, I let it get me the last little bit of the ride instead of the whole time.

Thats similar to what others have said - don't even use it until you need it. Idk though, I rode 20 minutes today without it and felt like I needed it!
