What glove liners did you go with?

I pulled the trigger on the Pro-Action fork kit ($350) and received my shipping confirmation. Should be here Friday, but I doubt I'll get to it until Christmas with all I have going on.

Thanks to @Cosmic Razorback for his installation thread outlining all the needed tools/parts and tips to get this job done.All-in after taxes: $600. So far.

I had the week off and had it all planned out but the wife overruled my plans for a couple days so I’m not going to get the Pro-Actions installed this week lol.

So since I have another week or so to wait, I pulled the trigger on ***** Shiny fork legs 😂. https://willyshiny.com/2014-2021-chrome-touring-forks/ ($300). My forks are pretty corroded and I don’t want to put the elbow grease into polishing them.

I was originally hesitant to go chrome with the black denim. I haven’t been able to find any pictures of a black denim bike with chrome forks. Going chrome is going to make me deep clean the bike so the rest of the bike will keep up with the chrome.

Well, in risk of looking like a jackass, I'm going to say that I am NOT going with the chrome forks like I said I would. My bike doesn't deserve them lol. I got to looking at the front end yesterday and the aluminum on the rim is horrible, the brake disc is just as bad, etc. And I think it would be pointless to put chrome forks on it when the rest isn't even polished... Hell, not even CLEAN haha

I will research how some of y'all have polished the aluminum and gotten rid of the corrosion. I'll take any tips/links if you have them!

It won't be long and this thread will be 7 years old. It's time for a new bike, a new thread, and I'd wager that it will be clean when you pick it up.

Sheesh time flies! It’s been a great bike and I’m not letting it go unless I absolutely have to. After the ProAction setup is installed, that’ll complete all the creature comforts I ever really wanted. After that, it would just be engine mods or bling. I’m happy with the bike. I hope to get another 7 years out of it

Seven years also means my ESP is ending… it’s been great to me as well. The OG Discount ESP. Hey, maybe I’ll finally get a tuner lol

After spending my spare time over the past couple weeks replacing the shocks and struts, brakes, brake fluid, and engine oil in my car, and then putting up the Christmas tree and decorations, I finally had time to take the front end of the Harley apart for my Pro-Action fork kit install.

Before taking the forks out, I measure from the top of the fork tube to the top of the upper bracket: 4mm on the left fork, 5mm on the right… Maybe that is why my bike always pulled hard to the left?

Here are some pics of the situation I started with. I’m embarrassed at how filthy my bike is. The forks and wheels are awful.

As soon as the left fork came out, I could see the seal was no good. Fork oil all over the fork. I turned it upside down and it steady dripped.

Here’s a crappy closeup of the leaky seal.
