Default Windshields?

New 2017 Ultra Limited needs upgrades so I'm looking for advice.

What windshield/windscreen do you prefer and why?

And I'm 6' 2" tall. Not sure on what height shield to get either.

Riding style: Extended Touring

Problem: Bugs eye level and up. Head buffeting.

Helmet: almost never.

Which bike? I've bought from both Long Ride Shields and Clear View Shields, and would recommend both.

I went with the LRS medium tint on my RGU and I really like it. It does have minor distortion at the curve, but I am totally used to it now and not bothered by it. I highly recommend the LRS lineup.

Bro, you are about to get a million answers because its so diff for everyone.....torso length, how you sit (posture), type of helmet, which seat, etc etc

My limited is 5 months old and I have a 8" KW, 10", 9" and 8" LRS Elite. See, I was looking for the perfect "modular" shield above 70 mph. They all worked great with my 1/2 helmet but I needed the perfect helmet for my modular to get rid of that buffeting at 70mph. I bought the 9" last ....and it ended up being perfect. So as you can see, you may go through a few to find what you want. With LRS pricing....I didn't mind....and I have a few shields that actually all work so all is good. I'm 5'11" and I have a tallboy seat...and 10" was in my line of sight....I can still use it, but it just requires me to sit perfectly straight up if I want to see over it as much as I like

Freedom Shields. Superior product and service. No distortion, the shields are thicker and fit well.

They will help you with proper measurements and if it does not suit you, will take it back as long as the protective film is not removed.

I went with a Long Ride Shield the 16 medium tint for the price its very nice and worth
the money under 100 bucks. I bought it for two up riding it's a little better then the stock shield for my passenger. Dose a great job for me but i am sure ill be playing around with others in the future. I would take time look at some reviews you can spend a lot the money for crap. Good Luck

It's as subjective as everything else. I went with a Klockwerks smoked. They say the top of the windshield should land somewhere around the same height as the tip of your nose. So whatever that is. Most dealers have a variety of brands, styles and sizes to road test.

I'm 6'2" and sit tall. I switched from an LRS to a Klockwerks 8" and like it much better. I look right over the top and it does it's job.

Here's something you might consider; get the seat you want before you look at windshields. Many times people change windshields, then get a new saddle only to have to replace the windshield again because of seat height.
