That's what you call a shot bearing.What happened at what miles?

It doesn't look shot. It looks new. It has a metal seal instead of the plastic junk.

Silver stuff is just anti-seize.

Yes,/\ a welcome improvement. time will tell
wheel is brand new take off, never been on the road.
another change to the seal is that it rotates with the inner race.

Anti-seize on bearing tricked these old eyes

I would the guy who assembled it an idiot.. Used anti-seize.. Nothing wrong with the bearing.

Service manual actually recommends antisieze on the axle before sliding it through so that the spacer doesn't get frozen to the axle shaft. Probably where it came from.
