TG there are several posts on M8 riders trying to find "the sound" There are many slip ons for sale in the classifieds daily for M8's. They don't have a muffler that has "the sound" The best muffler sound I have heard on an M8 is the S&S 4 1/2" They do have "the sound" on the M8's

I had Street Cannons, ventilator air cleaner and pro street tuner for about 3k. Sound was better than stock but not great. I installed the stage 2 torque cam and the sound improved over stage 1 and the old vibration is back.

In regard to the decel 'splatter' sound. Glasspack's are a good comparison.
That "splatter" sound comes from the end caps on the Street Cannons. I pull the end caps off and the glasspack splatter stops. That really surprised me.

That might be worth some experimentation. I wouldn't care for the look without endcaps. But I wonder how they'd dound without the inner part of the end cap?

This .... I want to set car alarms off I still have the shovel, I get them a block away just starting her.

Day I brought the RK home mama standing in the drive and first words out of her mouth was ' it's too quiet ". I gave it 500mi. and got the Jackpot Hi-rollers , good tone, nice throat when you get on it a bit and not ear splitting at cruising speeds. Good for lane splitting too just enough they hear me but not enough to be annoying at lights.

85 degrees in your garage huh? That sounds nice compared to the 120 degrees in mine.

Did you need ECM calibration since CVOs already have high flow intake and larger volume exhaust.

Yes. When I put them on the bike ran differently and the exhaust note was not good at all. It was bad enough that I was going to throw them up for sale. I took a chance and got the legal tuner from the dealer and threw the stage 1 tune in and it now runs and sounds like a million bucks.

Something so much different with the motor. I would have never thought a simple slipon would need a tune.

Oh and the CVO ventilator comes with the paper filter. The KN filter to make it the “full” stage 1 is another 50 bucks lol. Not that I buy into the KN flowing more but the filter looks better and easier to maintain.
