Your guy is like correct about the increase in power.. 3-5 sounds reasonable..

1. The timing can be adjusted range is limited.

2. You can tweak the AFRs indirectly in the open loop sections by changing VEs. Again range is limited.

3. AFR table is fixed so that the closed loop sections cannot be changed.. IF you look at the WOT sections the AFR is set to 11.7 witch is pretty rich..

I've tuned a few with the Street tuner. I have yet to have one that didn't get maxed out in the VE's and want more change, even using all HD parts. The Street Tuner is what it is. I have a 2017 Dyna coming in next week for a tune. Dealer sold him the Street Tuner and I sold him a TTS Mastertuner. I'll tune it with both tuners and post the results.

That would be great to see the differences. Thanks!

Here it is, I did what I could with the street tuner and ran out of adjustment then moved on to a TTS Mastertune.

2017 Dyna Low Rider
117" Stage IV kit
Heavy breather
Megaflow 2:1 exhaust

Clutch was slipping a little at the bottom end

So it wasn't an M8 that you had the issue with.. Have you seen this issue with the M8s?

It wasn't running an SE exhaust..

SEPST is only designed to tune Harley components, not surprised you ran out of adjustment.

I've ran out of adjustments tuning a M8 with the Street Tuner (even using all HD parts and the Street Tuner MAP for the build). Only difference is I didn't re-tune any of them with an aftermarket tuner.

This is correct. Like I said even using the Street tuner on all HD parts i've ran out of adjustment.

Good thread... I was pondering the same upgrades + or - . I've heard a lot of positive things about the FP3 as well, instead of SEPST. I'm just trying to go to school from the other threads posted here. Is a TTS over kill for a Stage I ? Will it Auto Tune as well ?

So what adjustment did you run out of? How much more was roughly needed? Where was the adjustment out? RPM? MAP?

Too bad about not retuning with another tuner.
