They are V-Twin CVO bags, and I liked the way the tips stick out beyond the bags.

Are you sure they were the 4"? For the price it'd save me a chunk of change. Looked at these the other day but haven't heard any yet.

I didn't measure them but that's what he said his paperwork said. Also said they were $500 which is the 4" price. The MK45's sound even better but are ~$200 more. I should see him this weekend so I'll try and confirm.

I'm still running stock pipes, but had planned on getting the S&S MK45 paired with that Vance and Hines X pipe header, and a Fuelpak 3 tuner. Also still waiting on a air cleaner set up like the Big Sucker I have on my Wide Glide.

I think these S&S MK 45's may be the perfect pipe for a Touring Bike. At 50 - 60 mph, they purr quietly and your ears are not getting hammered. Let's face it, if you're on the highway for 6 hours, loud pipes are not fun,

However, when you get on the gas, they really open up nicely with great tone. They look great. The downside is they are not inexpensive - and they are quite heavy, at least 40% heavier than the 4" Vance and Hines Twin Slash I had on the bike previously.

I love my Street Cannons and my wife does too but the deeper tone of the S&S's is appealing. Wish I could hear the MK's in person but there's just not that many around.

Agreed. I love the sound of mine when you hit the throttle. I don't necessarily want louder sound, but I would love more lope at idle, which isnt a result of the MK45's, but more so of just the M8 motor I and the stupid cat headers.

Well ive been running mine for approximately 200 miles now and all I can say is holy crow. Not running the db killers but I am running the stick header with cat. I love the sound at idle and cruise and twisting the throttle. Extremely happy with them. I heard them not long after I bought my bike and knew then that they were the ones I wanted.
