Good start on the upgrade...

I'm impressed. I didn't know what to expect with only an A/C (K&N HD 1717), Tuner/MAP...So far, my Butt Dyno says it's much better. For lack of a better description, I'd have to say "more responsive "... I was lamenting the loss of warranty but, I have heard maybe Harley was going to allow the FP3 ?

Maybe. I just posted a new thread with the idea that you keep your stock parts and then just reinstall them is something goes bad (obviously won’t work if you decat the header....)

I have a 2017 SGS and enjoy my ride being stock other than a set of S&S MK45s slip ons. I did not do a hi flow ac kit or download because the dealer did not see a reason to due to the self adjusting ECM. I like spending my money on cosmetic enhancements and not on trying to make my bike go faster. If I want fast, I would have kept my V-Rod.
Just my 2 cents....

When I bought my stage 1 stuff, they said they were selling the fp3 and another brand besides the se one. But I think even with the other tuners from harley, you'll be forced to use a canned map and the adjustments mighht be limited like the SE tuner to stray in compliance.

It's more strict than that. The long and short of it is: if you use that FP3 to tune an M8 bike, the warranty is immediately voided, period, end of story, no two ways about it. That's what the EPA requires Harley to do. If a dealership is selling FP3's and not telling people that, then they're just plain irresponsible.
