I don't mean to hijack, but I didn't think this question was worth starting a new thread.
That is correct, it's the size of the muffler, the connection to the head pipe is all the same for the 2017's. Generally the smaller diameter muffler is louder, larger diameter has a deeper tone.

That's what I was thinking, however, they didn't sound much different than their standard baffles. At least from the video...

Been looking at the Tab pipes with zomebie baffles too. If they sound as good as the video on you tube i would be happy. But vidoes can be deceiving sometimes.

I think it ultimately comes down to the look. As long has you have the stock header and cat theyre all gonna sound pretty similar. I went with Fuel Moto Jackpots and Fuel Moto just happened to have a sale at the time and the mufflers cost me $269. They sound way better than oem and are just as good as $500+ options

Well, I've owned three different sets of Slipons for my bike now. Here is what I'll say

Khrome Werks 4-1/2"... Beautiful Chrome, decent melllow, deep sound. No appreciable torque loss with these.

RCX 4-1/2...Chrome was just okay, look pretty good though. Sound was good, louder than the Khrome Werks by a little at cruising, sounded really good getting on it. These did have torque loss however.

Street Cannons... with slash tips (blunt slash tips sound different, as the defiance tips sound even more different) Chrome is on par with the Khrome Werks, typical Harley quality there being very nice. Pipes were quiet until broken in, they then got louder. After a Stage 1 dyno tune, these pipes came alive sound wise. I guess from being romped on dyno after 2000 miles is how you wake them up. These are louder than the RCX's by a fair amount getting on it, and similar at cruising speed. Torque with these is MUCH better then the RCX's, especially in the 2500 to 4000 range. Against the Khrome Werks torque wise..."maybe" slightly better.

I'm still on the search for a great sounding pipe. Looking at the SVT Boneshakers now.
