I don't have the issue on my 2017 knock on wood yet... But i have mentioned it to my dealer service techs several times and they just look at me like im stupid. Either they just really havent seen it in my part of the country or there just trying to hide it and act like it isnt happening to increase sales. I dunno. Its for sure a issue as many times as its been brought up on these forumns and harley needs to address it. I personally would want to find the issue as fast as i could and assure a fix for it if i was hd. Its one thing to have a problem with your ride and the dealer/moco is willing to fix it. No problem. But when they start acting like it isnt happening thats when it becomes bullshit. In other words i can deal with problems if addressed correctly because anything man made can and will fail. But dont act like it aint happening just to save money and increase sales. For the price of these bikes they should be more then happy to jump and fix whatever issue you may have during warrenty. Ni reason harley should be that upside down in there finances that there scared to address and admit there is a warrenty issue. I would love to know the actual cost to make a m8 vs msrp. I bet you they are making one hell of a chunk of cash off every m8 sold.

Harley issued a technical advisory (TA0022) for this problem in September. So any dealer that looks at you like you're stupid is either ignorant (they do not know about basic communications that their parent company puts out) or they're dishonest in an effort to continue selling bikes with a known and Harley-Davidson acknowledged issue. The lynch pin to this whole thing is TA0022 where the MoCo admits to the issue. The troubling part for me is that they don't offer a fix if it occurs in the M8. Any dealer that claims to have never heard of an issue with the very product they sell that has previously been admitted to by the maker of the product is either ignorant or dishonest.

From what I've seen, most dealers are too dumb and ignorant to find their *** with their own two hands. The rest are just plain ol' liars.
