I'm just curious Jamie if you've ever had any experience with the Woods 22X cam or any of the aftermarket cams with the Street Cannon slip ons. Thanks for any replies.

Hello, the Street Cannons actually work pretty well with most bolt in cams, they are not too open which is what these motors want. I would also recommend an aftermarket head pipe like the Jackpot M8 2/1/2.

Default M8 Cams

Thank You Jamie,
This will help us out when deciding on a cam upgrade and also save the customers time and MONEY to help us make the right decision the first time.

A few days of riding it and I got used to just being a gear lower than I used to be. I wanted a setup that sounded aggressive and made horsepower, tired of feeling like my bikes out of poop when I'm out in the open desert, but hopefully the bottom end doesn't completely suck.
I ordered the 22X and S&S Sidewinder 2-1, from Fuel Moto, for my bike yesterday. I spent a good part of today second guessing myself for not going with the 475 like I did on my last bike. I like taking my bike to the mountains on my trips and use a good portion of the 2000-4500 rpm range. The 475 with the Jackpot headpipe and MK45 mufflers worked well on the 107. I’m getting anxious to get the new bike (stock 117) some mods and go rip through the smokies!

Jamie, I’m presently getting my zippers 468 cam installed in my M8 107 slim with rinehart slip ons, would you say that exhaust will work good enough? Plus I have a screamin eagle A/C and FP3, I’m thinking of changing my tuner to the PV but not sure yet. What’s your thoughts? Thanks

oh by the way I bought my rineharts and cam from y’all, and soon to get the PV

Default M8 with 22X

cmashark, I have a 22X in my Road King standard, stock head pipe, de-catted, with K&N 1717 filter and Power vision (canned map) from stock "dyno" run 81Hp-103TQ to 101Hp 111Tq (you can see my chart in the M8 thread). The increase is awesome and the power ban is right where you want it. I'm liking it so much I may not even get a "good tune"...Haha.... I think you'll be very happy, good luck, CSM-H

I think you will really like the characteristics of the 22x cam, especially in the lower RPM's with your combination.

The Rinehart mufflers will work well with the RS-468 cam. For tuners we would recommend Power Vision, we have an excellent base map we will supply for this setup and if you need any additional tuning support we are here to help.
