Hi was wondering has anyone done a cam swap on 2019 street glide changed cam bearing and used stock cam plate and oil pump?If so any problems? Thanks
No problem at all doing that. The one thing you would need to check is that you have the newest 8 lobe suction pump in your oil pump, some '19's got them while others did not. If you do not have that then replace the oil pump with the HD upgraded pump.
Yeah, only change I did was upgrade to the 8 lobed oil pump. Left everything else stock except cam & bearing of course and pushrods. No probs yet. '19 RKS
The only thing I would do differently is to replace the Harley stock lifters with S&S, Feuling or Woods lifters. I always use new lifters on a new cam, and Harley and even S.E. lifters don't have an impressive track record.
Thanks for the Help.My warranty is up this August and i think i will do the cam swap after that.I think i will go with S&S cam and get the cam kit from fuel moto.Pretty sure i will need new oil pump as my build date on my 19 is aug 18
