Default 3000 miles in 7 days on M8 CVO

Rode my cvo limited down to bike week and back to Va, about 3000 miles all together, including the riding down in Fla. Bike handled flawlessly, ran about 175 miles between gas stops on the highway and generally put in about 4.6 to 4.8 gallons, about 36 mpg, not bad considering we were pushing north of 8o mph most of the time. Experienced some pretty heavy snow squalls on 77 through the mountains going south and never felt the bike get squirrelly. Liking this bike more and more as time goes on.

NICE

We did not get to go this year. But I did do a 2k ride between Christmas and New Years to Florida. Did you test ride any of the 117's?

Having the same bike I know it really likes the 80 to 90 mph range! Sweet!

I saw a bunch of them down there, most in the gunship grey versions and a couple of cvo limited in the gorgeous earth fade color. I haven't done a darn thing to this bike outside of the stereo. Even the pipes are growing on me, nice not too loud growl when on the throttle but quiet at idle, I prefer at my age to listen to my music any way. Gave up on loud pipes probably 10 years ago. Bike is plenty fast compared to the 2013 cvo road glide I had. Hitting the throttle coming off those highway ramps and shifting at 4k rpm, you are at 90 mph before you blink.

Sounds like fun, bad weather makes you appreciate the nice days. Way to spin the speedo. Thx for post

With the 117 you pull out to pass twist the grip and you are laying it down quick. Like Steve Cole say's it's nice to have it when you need it.

I think the MOCO missed the boat when they used the 107" cam in the CVO 114". The torque cam works nearly perfect. Probably equal or a little better than a stock 117".

My trip to Daytona was 651 miles each way. Snowed on me the first two hours on the ride down through the mountains of East TN and North GA. Bike was flawless for the whole trip, road back roads both ways. just over 44 mpg on my 18 CVO. I have just over 8K miles on the bike now.
