Wouldn't have changed my mind on my AC selection, but nonetheless, that is good info to have going in on a $450+ new AC.
Is the filter on the Trask a K+N? I like the grey synthetic filter better on the Ness but like the Trask cover and set up better, Trask $434, Ness $377 so not a lot of difference in price, both over priced as hell but it is what it is I guess.

Call Direct Cycle Parts, they usually give a pretty good break over the phone.

Yeah they have the best price on most parts that I've found.

It’s a K&N filter. Clean and oil. I like cause it sets off the red paint on my bike. Might want to try Eastern Performance. They are usually very competitive and deliver quickly.

I looked them up, about $40 higher than direct cycle. Found the Ness for about $100 cheaper than the Trask so that might be my deciding factor. I've got all Ness stuff anyway, boards, shifter/brake pedal, grips. Thanks for you input, I appreciate it!

Wow, I looked up trask. The chrome version is amazing. Really like it alot. They are of course on back order and not available. Kinda pricey too at $539.......... But hey, you only live once.

I think I have decided on the Arlen Ness inverted, I like the synthetic filter better and it's a good bit cheaper. The Trask does look cool but my bike still pukes a little oil blow so I'm not thrilled about it coating the clear plexiglass.

May also want to consider the S&S Stealth. It is also available with a 1" taller filter. It can also be modified for external venting.

Install was pretty easy and I would say takes under and hour for removal and install.
