Default 17 RGS steers Left on level, straight road.

Just asking if any one else has noted their motorcycle steers left ? Meaning straight and level road, (Cruise control on ) right hand grip requires slight outward pressure to keep the steering straight. If I apply 0 pressure to the right, the bike lays over to the left, then steers toward the center line. I even emptied the saddle bags and checked the cables to ensure there was nothing else possibly contributing to this. Not a major issue, but I should be balanced better than this...

Mine does this, and others have reported it as well. Mine is a light drift but rides perfectly otherwise. I'm not worried about it. I just lean a little to the right when I wanna go, "Look Ma, no hands!"

I've read other threads here of the same nature. I am no expert mechanically but the problem in that thread turned out to be cables routed and secured improperly causing pressure just enough create pull to whichever side.

Your 17 should be under warranty. Take it and get it checked. That would drive me crazy.

I reported this about mine specifically almost a year ago

And they'll tell you what they told me. They all do that and we dont warranty bikes for pulling since you should have both hands on the bars at all times.

But yeah mine is all but gone since I swapped bars. My guess was the cables were zip tied too tight and created the slight pull on the front end.

The RG makes it pretty easy to get to these cables. Just remove the switch and speedo housing (two screws I think).

When you're talking about cables are you referring to wiring?

yeah sorry. The wiring that is bunched up and zip tied under the speedo pack.

Again, I cant say for certain that snipping the zip tie on those alleviated the pull. Perhaps the tire wear after 8000 miles has also helped, but its almost gone now.

"They all do that"

My 17 Road King does it but only in the slightest way.

'18 RGS is straight as an arrow. I did swap handle bars before it was ever ridden, so who knows.

My RK has never pulled even slightly sitting square in the saddle. Still on original tires.
