ok, so I clicked the radio button that said Add Poll, took me to the next page that prompted me for number of line items and I entered the descriptions, saved New Thread and whaalaa, no Poll appears..so I go to Edit and try to find out how to re-add and there is no radio button for Add Poll anywhere, even in Go Advanced..oh well, I tried

Anyway, choices would be:

Have already or will
No Way
Already kicked Powertrain warranty to the curb
Undecided, game time decision

I would vote Undecided since;
I have a Road King without all the bells and whistles
already got the new 'improved' clutch switch so one expensive thing potentially off the table
my vehicle insurance covers some towing, rental, accommodations, meals, etc.
I can afford worse case scenario and have the savings up front to work with initially towards repairs

not sure how useful the results would be towards influencing a decision since so many use aftermarket stuff that void parts of the warranty anyway

I bought mine when I bought the bike. I was reluctant t get it, but after reading all these threads about sumping, I feel a little better about it.

Mine is up in December. I already voided the warranty so no point in an ESP.

Mine is up in Oct. I bought my bike used with 1200 miles last Sept. I'm at 14k now with no problems. But I think I may buy an ESP because I'm looking at about 16k-18k miles per year. Probably just for peace of mind. But I plan on riding the crap out of this bike for at least 4 more years.

My warranty is up in September and my bike is at 21,453 miles with no problems. I have done all my own service and plan to continue. If it breaks I will fix it and use the best parts Harley parts and some aftermarket parts. Same drill as taking care of my other Harleys. "It is what it is" She is not new anymore nor perfect but I Love my RK M8!

Bought an extra 3 years at time of purchase and the warranty timer was reset when they gave me a new bike due to 5 failed attempts to fix the Peek-a-Boo tranny fluid dilemma. Thinking of canceling the extra 3 years so I can play with the motor more, but I'm kinda holding out for the holy grail of transfer fixes. I believe the sumping issue will not be of concern after an S&S oil pump and cam plate are installed and that is really what I would like to do next, but.......... bye bye warranty. Such a catch 22!
