Default Tank Lift Kit for M8 Road King

I am considering the DK Customs 1.5" Deluxe Tank Lift Kit for my 2018 Road King and would like to hear your comments.
http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/tour...t-kits-c31.htm

Can anyone comment on any installation issues I might encounter with my RK?
Any Seat Fit concerns? (I have a Mustang Summit.)
I already have H-D Fork Fangs and the Kuryakyn Triple Tree Deflector to address buffeting. Will raising the tank affect my current setup adversely?

Just watch your tank clearance on bars. I does loose just a little bit fuel capacity . Looks good when done rite. Shows a bit more of motor. Hardly noticed how it's done.It also has 2 other added effects.......it lets the motor run a touch cooler. It also does push the air under tank a bit more so less buffeting to rider. On a road king not as noticeable as a fairing bike. I custom make them all the time ..just one of those things that is pleasing to the eye when you get it rite. But most don't even know you did it.

Pros, looks great and keeps the engine a bit cooler

My only con, and it wouldn't be an issue for you, is it really changes the airflow on a RGS. I didn't care for it

I've got one that's practically brand new if you want to try it save some $$ over new

If you are lifting the tank, how does it lose capacity?

The tank is only lifted in the front and it pivots at the back.
By tilting the front of the tank up you create a slightly larger air pocket ahead of the filler neck that you cannot fill because the filler neck extends down.
But, it really is no more than a few ounces, depending on the lift height.

I did some measurements, and I will definitely need to rotate my bars forward a bit even to use the 1.5" lift height.
I may also have an issue with the hydraulic clutch line dragging on the tank.
Can you safely loosen the banjo bolt a bit and rotate the connection to the master cylinder without fear of leaking?

I have, I just barely broke the torque on it to get it loose then rotated the line so that it was even with the handlebar then tightened it back down. Don't loosen any more than needed to get the fitting moving.

Put some pics up when you're finished with the project, I'm somewhat interested in doing this as well

if need be just remove front bolts and raise tank a little at a time with wooden wedge or plastic one guys use to pry Windows for lock outs in car.....get it up as high as need and just have the tank lift brackets made too exact size. Measure center to center .My twink I made them 1.25.....1.5 was just touch to,high and didn't flow as well I thought.
Everyone I do is different. Yes in clutch like other poster said...
