100,000 Mile M8

***UPDATE***
I forgot that I had to compensator cleaned and re-torqued at one point, the spring pack replaced and a shim added at around 75k, and the fuel pump replaced at 55k(?)
at 105,7xx miles on November 7th I dropped the bike off at the dealership with some slight top end noise.
I figure its under warranty and I have three other bikes to ride, so why not give her a break and some love?!?!
The crank has .003” of runout, both cylinders passed compression test (barely, but passed!!) and both cylinders failed leak down checks by 2 or 3%. The oil pump (only has 45k on it since the TSB required it to be replaced when the cam was replaced) was galled up along with the cam plate and the rear exhaust lobe has some galling on it as well.
the heads will be getting refurbished provided that they are able to be once inspected after tear down, new cylinders, pistons, rings, and cam compartment, new compensator and primary chain/tensioner as well.
My oil consumption had gone from 1 quart in 5k miles to .75 quart in 1k miles as well, but no noticeable loss in power.
With the exception of the cam, everything that Feuling makes will be going into the bike, ill be staying with the Torque cam, and it will stay a 107.
once I get it home Ill be PROBABLY installing a set of CVO heads with the Feuling parts, or not... still have to decide if there will be a gain worth the work on a 107, CVO heads, and the Bassani True Duals... probably not...
more to come as it comes, and I will try to get pictures of some of the parts up soon.
I truly am impressed by this motor and LOVE riding it. The cam chain tensioner had plenty of life left in it, as did the primary chain tensioner. I FULLY and HONESTLY believe that while it was using more oil, I could have easily ridden another 50k on this motor just fine.

front tire at 13k
transmission and all primary internals (except clutch hub) at 42k (primary needs rebuilt again now and has for a while)
radio at 42k and needs a new one again
left hand control pack
front wheel bearing
SE Street cannons x3
motor is a stage one and has been most of its life. It has a knock, an occasional funky idle, and needs a new compensator. The motor has never been apart and “just” started seeping behind the rear cylinder at the case halves around 86k
good bike.
What a great cause this gentleman is promoting.

It is isn't it it just shows what a great platform the new bikes are and that there's good fellows out there going the distance on them and sharing their great and not so great adventures with us..I'm wondering if there's good men touring the larger platform builds at 120,124 or 128, do things come loose, is there a humm or vibration at X revs for hours on end, and fuel economy.
Peace.
Peace.
