Digging up an old thread here.... I've had the AIM light Force for about 2500 miles now and really like the easy clutch pull. But my clutch engagement point has moved out to the end of the end of the lever travel, after installing the LF it was very close to being right off the grip. Being off the grip made low speed maneuvers at full lock easier for me because I have shorter arms. Anyway, is this normal? If not, will AIM replace the unit?

Check your master cylinder. Probably down on fluid and pulling air. If so, the slave is leaking. Call AIM and they will most likely send you a new unit.

Copy, will do that today.

Occasionally when coming to a stop with the clutch in I move the shifter but it doesn't change gears. I have to let the clutch out until it starts to engage and then I can continue to downshift. Is this a Harley thing, or an AIM thing?

That's the AIM. You need a Muller.

For me and a few others, that's normal. Since getting a bike with the A&S clutch I have not been able to down shift through multiple gears either. No matter what slave cylinder I've used. There are a couple threads about that subject if you look around.

It's the slave cylinder you buy, and you know it will work. The AIM is hit and miss. Not bashing, there are many posts here to back it up. I am an AIM clutch fan, really.

Rekluse now has one, too. Not a ton of users, yet, but Rekluse has an awesome reputation, and I can attest to their awesome off-road products.

I love my Muller, engages about 1" off the bar, and used with my 1275N heavy clutch springs, and AIM SDR clutch is about 50% effort of my stock clutch

Yes, as do I. The Assist and Slip clutch is standard on Touring since 2017. It's a clutch with ramps. Can appear to act "funny" compared to the older clutch.

i just installed the Rekluse one, it's awesome! it does exactly what it says it will. i only have about 1000 miles on it. but based on my other rekluse products over a decade it should be fine, and if its not they will for sure make it right.
