Thanks guys, They just picked the bike up so, now it’s a waiting game.
Question, can no damage be done even if the bike started losing power? Or is it probable that damage has already occurred. After reading so many posts about folks going through multiple engines, I’m trying to look ahead at other after market options.

Apologies for the delay guys. never said it didn’t have a tuner. Harley did the complete install for me with the SE tuner that comes with the Stage 4 kit

Its very unfortunate that your bike sumped. What’s also unfortunate is that sadly more bike owners will be following in your footsteps. Who knows, even some of those sumping “disbelievers” could find themselves unfortunately having to face the same experience. That surprising first time experience when they roll the throttle and say.... WTF.... where did the power go?
Hopefully most of you never have to experience the sinking feeling of an engine that has just sumped, but you can rest assured.... you’re not the last.

Sorry to hear you have joined the ranks of sumped M8 owners. The weeks ahead will be less than fun. Likely various repair efforts before you’ll get an authorization for a replacement engine (assuming there are no warranty issues). Please keep us informed of your progress with warranty coverage and how they plan to get the bike back on the road. Hang in there. At least its the end of the riding season so hopefuly you don’t lose too much riding time.

I just got my first update today from the dealer. The bike poured out 2 quarts of oil after removing the CPS. So the engine breake down will now start. The tech stated that they will be looking for engine damage, scaveng port blockage and to see if any o-rings are damage in the oil pump compartment. So now it’s a waiting game like you stated.
