Trade 2018 RG for CVO?

If you can afford it and want it, go get it. I'm retired too and almost 66. LOL, I went and signed up on Social Security in December. I left the SS office and went straight to the Harley dealership and bought a new Harley. I could have paid cash for a CVO but I was happy with the 2019 Ultra Classic. It had the new Boom GTS plus all the bells and whistles that I wanted. I added the WHIM and a few other odds and ends.
But, get what you want and can afford.

not retiring for a few years, but after i sold my 70 Dodge Charger a few years ago I had enough money to pay cash for whatever Harley I wanted and I chose the Rushmore Road King because it checked all the boxes for me, then traded it for my M8 Road King (I will say if they did a CVO Road King I would have likely gone that route)

I test rode one, a 2018. Local dealer wants way over MSRP for new 2019s!
I’ve already modded my basic RG (Ohlins, cams AC slips, HU amp speakers, lights, etc), and decided to stick with what I have. Maybe in year or two or so, get RGS?
Rode the old 88ci TC RK for 14 yrs loving it. Can easily ride newer RG for long time.
(“was gonna change my shirt, changed my mind instead” anyone know who said that or where it’s from?)

Plus, on the ‘18 with only 5k miles, the flange around the gas cap was flaking already.
So one notable item I considered a big plus for the CVO (tank console) wasn’t great after all.
Thinking of how much gas dribbles after fill up makes me appreciate the design of the non-CVO tanks! (Even tho the CVO tanks look so good on the showroom).
The 117 pulls great, but so does the 107 with 447 cam. No real seat-of-pants noticable difference.
