you may scrape some in the mountains if you lean into the twisties aggressively. on a positive note it's like an earlier warning sound that you're leaning right to the tipping point, no pun intended..

The Pingel 1 1/4 did come with a sticker that says motorcycle modified and made drag sooner or something like that, it said put the sticker somewhere visible but I threw it away, lol. Like I said, has not been an issue for me and the boards feel just right, not sure the 3/4 would have been enough for me, I wanted to be wide enough that no part of my legs rubbed my tank

I am 6'7" on a 17 RGU I put the Kuryakyn spacers on that move them out 3/4" and have been 100% satisfied. I think they were around 35-40 bucks, I figured t that price I would give them a try. Also if I remember right the ones that move them out and forward would cause me to have to make a small cut to the lowers on the RGU, so I decided to go the simple route first. The 3/4 inch does not seem like much but it made all the difference in the world for me

I had the kury 3/4s on my RGS and it was a big lmprovement for sure! I always wanted just a little more so I ordered the 1 inch this time. I’m thinking with the extra clearance of the RGU I should be fine.

Installed the vtwingoodies kit today. I must say that the craftsmanship on the parts looks great. The rear spacers match the shape of the brackets perfectly. One tip, follow the instructions and clean the threads on the bike before installing new bolts. I had a harder time with the right side since I didn’t follow directions. I didn’t think it was a big deal but the left side went much easier. Also, my 19 RGU doesn’t have a nut behind the front bolts as stated in the instructions. Not sure when that changed. Can’t remember if my 15 RGS was like that since I added the spacers so long ago. Anyways...

Default Just installed

Bought the Kuryakyn ones that move the boards out an inch and forward an inch. Just installed them 2 hours ago. Took me half hour. No rides yet (obviously!). But just sitting on the bike I can tell I am going to like them. However, I now realize that I need to get the Kuryakyn brake extension. I need the one that is longer and lower. Saw some videos of them and they will complete my journey.

Default Installed

I ended up going with the Kuryakyn Spacers. Must say they were very easy to install. I also did not have a nut behind one of the bolts - bike is a 18. I do like the space it gave and I am glad I went with them. But then, I never did try the 1 1/4 extensions so I cant judge. I do like these though. Much more space than I anticipated. Thanks to all that posted.

Mike.
