Default S&S 465C cam questions

Looking to install a cam in my bike and have had good experience with all S&S products. Wondering if if any of you are running the S&S 465c cam in your M8? Good, bad? I have power vision,v&h dresser duals and twinslash rounds with stage 2 air cleaner. Thanks for the input

I have had it for a little over a year. Love the way it pulls out of the hole Very satisfied..though a 124" kit is not to far away lol...

If you haven't already check out FuelMoto's website. They have dyno charts for lots of different cams and configurations. I'd chat with the guys over there as well. Talk to them about your riding style, etc. and they'll make a solid recommendation. I was considering some of the S&S cam offerings for my stage 2 but ended up with the Woods 22X based on FuelMoto's recommendations. Couldn't be happier.

Just installed the 465 and S&S sidewinder (no cat) in a 18 streetglide. Bike has a s.e. heavy breather and a s.e. smart tuner, had V&H power duals. Have to say not impressed so far. Havent had a chance to put alot of miles on with the weather, to let the smart tune to readjust. I dont feel much of a diffrents in the seat of the pants, for the money invested. I know the tuner holds back a bit,but cant imagine that much. Im waiting till the wife and i get out, to do some roll ons. She is runnning the same as me, with a 2 into1 rinehartt and no cam. Ill see what that brings before i make my next move .

I inquired about the S+S 475 in my cvo 117, they told me it would not perform well and would not tune great, S+S however told me it would perform like a beast so in the end I think I'm more confused. This cam stuff is crazy and every shop says something different about what works.

Talk to Mike at westendmotorsports, he has the 465c in his bike and they have tested all kinds of exhaust and ac's with it. He should be able to provide you with some solid feedback.

The SEPST even with widebands/ "smart tune" is holding you back a ton. Had that tuner setup on my all SE stage II 17FLTRU. It's ok if your using all SE stuff, but won't adjust the map enough for you current setup. Too much to explain typing on a smart phone, but highly recommend using TTS Mastertune or a Powervision. Good luck.

My SG has a kit of 124 with ported heads and a cam 465 S & S. Also installed filter Hevy breather extreme. I would like to say that the moment is strong enough at the bottom and in the range of 3000-4000. I do not like the work of the engine at speeds below 2000. There is a slight twitch. Configured only with PV. I would be glad if this information will be useful for you.
