That's not going to replace the m8. Thats the new engine for some new models coming in the next few years. It may replace the evo sportster engine though.

Damn that is one FUGLY engine. Unitized design it seems. Looks like a V-Rod motor to some extent, similar throttle up on top. Would think it would not work well for heavy (touring) bikes. Likely for small-mid sized Euro applications since the EU patent application.

They could borrow from Indian; seeing as Indian has copied the Road Glide with their new touring offering!

The drawing did say mid sized engine so I dought the touring M8 will be replaced with it. Maybe down the road they will all be water cooled

This is really old news. Those designs have been out and are for the new bikes coming.

I would expect HD to use this in the Sportster line FIRST, like they have been "testing" new tech on since the very beginning.
