I always let mine warm up on the stand. I have also let it idle for 2 minutes on the stand for the oil check.1 dot on the dipstick is the most difference I have ever seen as opposed to letting it idle standing straight up and most times there is no difference. 18 Heritage 114.

2018 CVO 117, at 700 miles took it in to selling dealer about low power and very HOT. "They ALL do that" Returned at 2400 miles, same complaint, low power and HOT, kept it for a week, "We can't duplicate the problem" Today at second dealership, Service Manager took it for a short ride, upon return went immediately into shop and removed crank sensor and 4 quarts of VERY HOT oil came out, melted 2 plastic oil pans and smelled like ***! Left with a free Street Glide rental bike..... the saga continues. $49ooo and this is the best HD can do? How do they expect to stay in business? If not for a dealership with a competent Service Manager, where would I be? This is the LAST overpriced POS I will ever buy, I, like many others, am through with being screwed by the BIG machine...

I am sorry but I don't believe that the oil melted any oil pans.

I also believe that the bike would have seized up and been puking oil all over if it had 4 quarts of oil in the sump. I don't know if the sump would even hold 4 quarts. I am calling BS.

Call all ya want, witnessed it with my own 2 eyes. Techs name is Sam, call him at Adamec Harley, Jax, Fl. 904-215-1931
It's easy to run ones mouth behind the anonymity of the net.... Bet ya don't even know how much oil a CVO 117 holds, do ya?
Before questioning people, make sure you know what the %#@! your talking about, poser

They would probably be polyethylene, which melts at 240 to 275 F. So, possible. The 4 quarts seems high, but I wasn't there.

Lol... Easy there. Just because somone disagrees doesnt mean there's a need to argue who is/isn't a poser.

Call me anything you want. I just don't believe you. There is no way that bike ran with 4 quarts of oil in the sump even if the sump would hold 4 quarts.
