Default Rev limit M8 124"

The hp peak on my 124" FM build is at 6,140rpm. I noticed by looking at the tune that the rev limit is set at 7,000rpm. Although I rarely plan to hit the rev limit, I wondered if this was typical on M8 builds?

There's nothing wrong with the cam - torque is flat from 1,500 on up.

I wasn't asking about the hp, I was asking about the rev limit. Is 7,000rpm a typical or reasonable rev limit on an M8 build?

The actual rev limit is actually just over 6200 as there are other rev limit threshold tables that are configured in the background of the tune.

Didn't realize that - I was using my laptop to look over the tune stored in the Power Vision and the Rev Limit set at 7,000 struck me as kind of high. I didn't see any other throttle limits set relative to limiting rpm. Are these other background parameters only something you can see and adjust or did I just overlook them? Being a retired engineer I like to understand all the details.

We access the additional tuning tables in the calibrator level software.

So I'm assuming Calibrator level software access is only available to authorized tuners/dealers or is that an extra cost option avilable to the public/PV owner?
