What oil in a new M8?
#41
A lot of riders that use conventional oil change there oil every 3K miles. Some conventional oil guys take it to 5K because of the improved conventional oils these days.
Most synthetic oil users change their oil every 5k miles and and some synthetic oil users take it out to 7K or more miles. following the logic that synthetic is that much better in not breaking down.
It's a personal choice, which every you decide to go with, have a maintenance plan and follow it. Would be my advise, I've never heard of any of my friends lose a motor to oil in itself. Unless of course you let it run out.
As bikes we can all agree on one thing when it comes to oil, "any oil is better then no oil at all". Enjoy your bike.
