It’s still 2019.
Dealers know how to discount and make it back in financing.
There are many who have poor credit and will pay whatever to get something.
What I’m saying is shop around and see who gives you the lowest price. Don’t be afraid to makes phone calls and be willing to drive a couple hours if need be.
When I bought my bike, I made an offer, they did not accept and countered with a much higher price. I started shopping around. When they found out they came down to my price.
Patients and shopping is key to the discount your looking for.

On a 2019, you should be able to get at least a $2000 discount of Harley website MSRP(not what the dealer lists as MSRP). You don't have to pay MSRP for a one year old bike. It's not your fault the dealer ordered two may bikes he couldn't sell in that 2019 year, and now he has to discount them to make room for the newer models. YOU don't have to pay for HIS mistake. Get that through your head first! And remember, he needs YOUR RELATIONSHIP with YOU, much more than YOU need the relationship with that DEALER.
Finally, don't ask us about pricing. Do your homework about the market in your area, and know what's selling and what isn't, and at what prices. Not all markets are similar. Keep in mind that you don't HAVE to buy in your area either. For $600-800, you can have a bike shipped from anywhere in the lower 48 and have it delivered to your driveway. So don't limit your buying area to just where you live.

I would ask for $2500 off MSRP or to get the extended service plan if paying the MSRP.
Right now is when you might get it. The new 2020's are arriving, they don't like the old inventory.
Don't be afraid to walk and see if they call you. You can always raise the offer, or shop another dealer, or if the one you want gets sold, move up a year.

Local economic conditions, proximity to other dealers, negotiating skills, etc etc are all factors.

i totally understand and know that is why they are in business. My thing is they offered to discount the bike but then the freight and prep charge seemed high.
