Default Tie down brackets install

Any of you install your brackets using the original double stud hardware so you can use the acorn nuts?

We all going to be reported for not following the HD install directions.
Step 1- Remove the acorn nuts and studs from one side of the vehicle. The nuts and studs can be recycled or disposed of properly.

Who are they kidding... lets remove the nice chrome acorn nuts and studs and put in the BS dull button head screws supplied.. And don't forget to use Red Loctite so you screw up the BS allen head screw when removing later.

Yup, acorn nuts and definitely red loctite on the stud, dont want it coming lose going over bad roads. 3+ years on this bike and rock solid secure. Highly recommend instead of handlebars etc. Advantage of owing a batwing, cant do it on a roadglide with this kit.

may be wrong but it looks to me like you have your brackets reversed. Is there a reason why?
