Default 50 K Service

2017 FLHR with a stage 1 Getting close to a 50,000 mile service, these are my plans so far. SE-8 447 cam with new cam chest parts, Harley Fueling or S&S? heads off and new valves, guides, springs. ect. keeping the cylinder bore at 107, and using the harley tuner. and stock exhaust/street cannons mufflers. I am trying not to mix parts from different sources. I want to keep it simple, I have a good machine shop near me, just need to figure the little things that make a difference. like what gaskets, new hardware ect. that is why i am posting this. i do not need a racing touring bike, reliability is my goal here. Thanks TonyD

Subscribed! I'll be interested to know what your heads look like at that mileage. Mine is just now hitting 40k miles. I don't intend to open the motor before 100k, if possible. But I can well understand the desirability for some head clean-up work at 50k.

+1 on the 2020 oil pump. It solved my severe slobbering problem.

Man I would def go aftermarket. Especially if no longer in warranty. Much better quality parts and performance and usually cheaper. There have been many reports of failing harley lifters and other parts. Just my two cents.

No comment on your motor upgrades, but what about suspension, swing arm, steering head, motor mounts, etc, etc. All part of 50k, check your manual for what they recommend and good luck.
