I've bought stuff from FuelMoto before and they have treated my very well! Very accommodating.

Thanks for the suggestion.

They said the 475 would work very well in the 128 with good bottom end and very strong mid, the 540 would shine more on the very bottom. I don't ride at 2k rpms but for a blink of the eye so I'm not concerned about having all the tq at 2k-2500k rpms, I'm more of a 3k rpm up kind of rider so I prefer a strong mid range cam so I will be keeping my 475 for the 128 big bore. S+S also advised the new 540 cam will not sound nearly as good as the 475 at idle, they said it will be a very smooth idling cam with very little lope, I checked out after hearing that! The 475 sounds awesome and I do not want to give that up!
Thanks for the information mate. I love my 475c as well!
I pick up the bike in a few days from now. Will let you know my observations.

I am no expert but I put that down to two things,
  1. 2:2 exhaust. I am sure I would get more HP with a 2:1
  2. torque cam ....I am not really concerned with HP numbers. Its torque I want.

It is usually only a fashion for older Americans who had an old muscle car with a V8 and huge camshaft, or a EVO with a big cam
For me it is exactly that. Just love the sound, even at an idle.

Probably not too many 1970 Camaros with an LT1, and a solid lifter Isky cam running around the UK, but that is what it reminds me of...

Yeah NW i do get it on those reasons, matter of a good tune/map over here seems to be a lot of variance, the way that cam runs/sounds on diff set-ups.

A Harley without some kind of lope is just 10 pounds of un American s#!t!!! I mean a smooth, quiet idling HD just seems wrong. If that's what you wanted then should have went with a Beamer!

Yeah thanks for that useful insight, seems you skipped my reply in post 26
Never said anything about quiet or smooth, just doing a 128 "build/ 544 rivas cam on my ride.
