107 to 117 ?

Yeah, I get it - everybody's a genius except me, and it only takes a half an hour and a couple of beers.
Of course who wouldn't be happy with the end result? That's not the point. I can't even get a GD muffler baffle removed without new special tools and calls to the OEM looking for their GD parts diagram that's not posted. Just to add a couple $24 lollipops.
JFC - and a complete upfit build is "easy"? Nah, not buying it.

Not all of us have a full bike shop. Comments more in line of what the capability level needed need to go along with the recommendation.

Yep - so, my son is a professional mechanic and couldn't remove it. So I call S&S. Again.
Me: wtf? you website says baffles are removable if you want louder sound
They: that's our marketing department they shouldn't say that.
Me: wtf?
They: i'll tell them to remove that statement.
Me: what do I do in the meantime with parts I can't use?
They: well, as you discovered the EPA lock screws aren't just a torx safety screw, they're company specials. we would have to send a special kit to one of our dealers, we can't legally send to an end-user.
Me: well, ok, where's you closest dealer?
They: looks like 150 miles away
Me: you got a dealer map? (yes) - I look up ,there's my builder, 10 miles away.
to add a "simple" exhaust insert.
anyone getting my point yet?

Out of curiosity, I started pricing out a 107 ---> 124 big bore upgrade using FM as a guide.
So far, I'm up to $4,000, and counting. FM advertises a conversion "kit" for $1,559, then announces a list of "also needed parts" that are expensive, as well.
Considering I can buy an entire new Hemi 409 hp V8 engine for $9,500 or so, $4,000+ to add maybe 20 hp to a two cylinder engine seems too spendy to me.
