Is my 2020 114 cursed
#21
that is an unacceptable level of oil consumption, my 124 doesn't use any, when it was a 107 it used a little, which turned into a quart every 6-700 miles, which is why it's now a 124. Your bike is broke if it's using that much oil.

Agreed. My stock 114 used a quart in the 1500 miles it lived in my bike. I went on one long ride in Canada right after I bought it, and tore it down for the 128 right after. It might have used a half qt in 4000 miles after FuelMoto dyno tuned it, not sure as they changed oil right after the dyno, and I never checked it until I returned home. After that, she has been at half-mast on the stick always. I am trying to stick to the 3000 mile changes that FM recommends.

They should only charge you for the difference between warrantied parts and the cost of the 122 or 131 kit. Not the full price of the kit.
If they want to charge you for the full price of the kit, make sure they give you ALL the warrantied parts in unopened boxes (cylinders, pistons, rings, gaskets...).
So you can put them up for sale here or ebay.... And recoup some of the cost of the kit.
If you already know that you want to do a stage 3 or 4 in the future, right now might be a good time to do it and save about 12hrs of labor on the kit installation.

well for a couple grand you'll have a fresh new much more powerful engine so hopefully that will be a long term solid and fun runner for you

Did the shop perform a compression test prior to tear down? If not Id ask about that, good luck on whatever you chose.
