Do you really think that EVERY dealer will honestly admit ,..... just like that ,...there's a serious wrong construction/production failure in some types of their brand ?

I've found another HD-dealer ,.....and these guys are VERY honest to me

I am friends with employees in both dealerships. They aren't going to lie about it.

You should come up to Michigan so we can have a beer! Then I'd take you to the three local dealerships that helped me with these problems, all of whom readily acknowledged they've dealt with the problem.

Look, I'm not a "Harley Hypochondriac" by any means. I had 3 stock 107 engines replaced under warranty. And now I own a 2020 and I love it.

But, it was enough of an issue for them to release a service bulletin on it.

I could be wrong, but with all the compensator problems which were quite widespread - was there ever a service bulletin on that?

I believe a bulletin was released due to the sheer expense of the failure. For sure there is a threshold for the number of reported cases, but there is also a monetary one. Who knows.

Make no mistake, I enjoy my Harley but I'm no fanboy. I just got sick and tired of the tinfoil hat reactions to the problem (and there was a lot of that) that sent a panic to brand new HD owners that were made to feel terrified to ride their bikes. That was ridiculous. I saw it a lot in the automotive industry, too.

All good, brother. I'm glad you got through it, and sorry that you had to. At the same time, I'm thankful I haven't. I'll take you up on that beer offer one day. Beer is good; I like beer.
