Default T-Man 2652 Cam - Looking for any input

Gents!
I have been talking to a local tuner, and might be installing this in a Fuel Moto 128 10.75:1 kitted engine. I can find only 1 or 2 references to this cam here on the site, and was hoping there might be some real-world feedback.

The recipe this tuner uses is pretty typical, but he also uses the Bassani High Horsepower Road Rage 2:1 Touring with the straight can to get close to 150 squared, and a nice flat torque curve. I don't have any dyno charts to post, unfortunately. I was surprised to see it is lower lift than cams we typically see achieving 150 hp in a 10.8 big bore.

Spec:

Just looking for any input from anyone that might have one.

Thank you.

150 torque should be no problem but I think you’re gonna have a hard time achieving 150 hp with a 10.75 to 1 build from what I’ve seen. I’m running a wood 22 XE in a fuel Moto 10.75 to 1 128 kit with 64MM throttle body, Fuelmoto Jack pot header and Fullsac 2.25 baffles and hit 150+ torque but about 130 hp at 5400 RPM. That Bassani two into 1 is a very loud exhaust for the record LOL.

M8-2652

This cam is a great replacement cam for the STG 4 117” kits and really shines with larger cubic inch motors. Designed to be a good mid range torque touring cam while still pulling hard through the upper RPM’S. This cam performs best at around 225-230 lbs CCP (same CCP as a stock 117”) and has produced 140+ HP and TQ on pump gas when paired with our head work and big bore kit. Due to the lift, this cam requires upgraded springs. This cam is also available in gear drive as M8-TMAN52G.

You would have to run your numbers through a calculator to see if your build plan hits his recommendations, a lot of these manufactures recommend compression on the conservative side

There are a couple of sheets on his site

https://www.tmanperformance.com/dyno-charts-m8-tc-cvo/

Does your tuner have charts from where he's built this combination before?

Yes, I linked the same info in my OP, and did read all of that before I posted it. I was looking to see if anybody had used this cam. I just can't find any info here. There is info scattered on the web.

He did not have anything to show me, yet, it was just an initial discussion, and the numbers seemed big for that cam spec. I am going to go back and see him again. I am hoping to have a good tuner local to me.

I rode all the way to Wisconsin last time for a tune after I did the 128

I was once interested in this cam as well but also had a hard time finding much data on it. I think the 150/150 is achievable with the right heads and peripheral mods. I’d squeeze it a little harder but I could see why some folks may not want to. What’s the current 124” setup and output? Might be a bit costly all said and done to gain another 10-15hp unless you want a different curve/powerband to better match your riding style, etc.

Its a 128, and currently lays down 148/123, a left side torque build. Looking for a right side shift, and broader range
All the usual suspects for the cam change: FM Level A heads, 6.3 injectors, SE manifold and TB, and supporting clutch components.

Oh nice! I can totally understand the desire to shift the curve some. The Tman looks to be a pretty balanced cam per the specs. TTS 250 is another one in that realm. I check HTT and couldn’t find any charts over there. Someone has got to be running that cam around here.

Yes, the TTS is another one I want to talk to him about. Just sucks not having a great tuner in my area, so I am really hoping this works out

if you can come down to Volcano HD in Gladstone, Oregon .. call and ask if Chris MCoombs or Mike Stegmann are available to tune bikes that are out of compliance..if they can, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone better at it ... I've had them both tune bikes of mine and they have decades of winning race team bike building and tuning background experience
