Default Dropping Flo, going with the Lizard

Got my Progressive bill 2 months ago for next year. They wanted $553 which is over $100 increase. I got online and tried to adjust the coverages to get it down, but just got frustrated. So I checked Geico and they quoted $308. A HUGE difference. Got on chat tonight with Flo's representative and got nowhere fast. Finally told them to cancel me. Then I signed up with that stupid lizard. Also told them I'm doing the same with my Auto policy when it comes due in June. Time for a beer to chill out!

My Flo is coming up for renewal. I'll be calling the lizard to compare.

After 11 years Progressive raised my rate by 40% no reason. I went to Geico also. Switched my cars also.

Be glad your not in Michigan. Our insurance rates are horrible. I just switched to Markel, we'll see how it goes. About $670/year for a 5 yr. old bike with a good driving record and good credit is the cheapest I could find, I called everyone. I've had Progressive, Allstate, etc. Allstate can kiss my *** as they're trying to bill me for "short sale" for cancelling the policy early and going with someone else. I've never heard of that in my life.

I believe I called them too. One of the problems is that I'm in Wayne County. I'm tempted to register my vehicles somewhere else sometimes.

In January the same thing happened to me. Been with progressive 9 years and rates went up every year and never had an accident or ticket. Finally got fed up and called geico and they were hundreds less for car and motorcycle insurance. Switched both immediately

I had the opposite experience with Geico...much higher thank Flo. 4 bikes, trike, boat and 4 wheeler. Lizard was crazy high.

We just got our new bill from Flo that's due in May. It went down a couple of dollars to $333.00 a year. I just figured it was for good driving, no claims and great credit scores.
