Is My Bike Insurance Too High???
 

I have a '92 Dodge Dakota that I drive less than 100 miles a month with only collisions and liabilty. The Harley and Hayabusa are both fully insured but with a $1000 deductable.

My insurance bill from State Farm for all three is $150 a month. I have a perfect driving record and I'm 65. Any opinions? Is that about what it costs to insure a beat pickup and two bikes by an old fart?

Any comments really appreciated...

My Harley alone is 900.00 a year.

Can you break it down by vehicle?

I pay $450 a year for an '05 Electra Glide and an '06 Sportster. Progressive/Drive Insurance.

An '04 F-250, '10 Ranger, and 36' Toy Hauler cost a little over $1,400 a year

My guess is the 'Busa is A LOT higher than the others.

I pay $500 a year for full coverage, year round coverage including roadside coverage from Progressive. My bike is a 2004 Road King Custom.

Your price is going to vary a lot depending on your age, location, driving record and type/year of the bike. So it is tough to compare price on this stuff.

My 02 EG is 240 per year.

I don't know how it breaks down. I know the Harley added $45 a month to my bill.

My 05 Roadking is $200/yr with progressive.
the 03 Deville is $350/yr.
99 Conversion van $325
64 Impala $325
House is the worst at $900
Good driving record, 57 yrs old. All full coverage.
Progressive goes down a lot each year you are a member.
It's easy to be insurance poor with a few toys.

i have progressive with a clean record & all kinds of discounts. & i'm 25.

paid $120/yr for liability on my 78 goldwing.
I now pay $650/yr for full coverage & roadside & long distance trip assistance on my 08 superglide.

99 Ultra -basic -crash and cry-650$ for 6 months-Provincial Gov't insurance (mandatory) add 6 months Comprehensive which flips over to 6 months storage from a private carrier-add another 850$ for the year-riding since 1979, not once accident and one speeding ticket in 25 years-count yer blessings

You guys have it good in the USA,. I'm 48 perfect driving record no points at all ,my 2010 Wide Glide is $1700.00 for the year. here in Manitoba Canada
