This is my 71. You could easily turn this 77 into this...

Heads (but those S&S heads do wonders for Shovel motors). Voltage regulator and probably stator as well (good thing if he used Cycle Electric). Screw type hose clamps.

What is very cool is that he has the Pig Snout carb backing plate. They are very rare and very hard to come by. Only used for 1977 to E-1978 FX and Sportster models.

Other thing unique to 1977-1978 FXE models is that you cannot add forward riders footpegs. For 77-78, MoCo actually cut off the mounting tab on the right side of the frame. You can clearly see it in the third pic showing the right side of the bike. Not sure what AMF genisus thought of it or why.

The seller has put a lot of time, effort and money into his bike. The bike presents very well. Think his price point is going to make it a bit tough to sell (at least in my neck of the woods). Most FX models around here, even if almost completely stock, top out at around 7K. But all it takes is the right motivated buyer.
Thanks for the info.

This is a beautiful shovel! Someday I hope to own one. Until then my 11' Super Glide will have to suffice.

This is one beautiful machine and the bike that really got me looking at and thinking about buying a Harley. Congrats on owning it!
I have a '98 Heritage Softail Springer Anniversary Edition (carbed EVO) and I believe that these were two of the best looking bikes H-D ever made.

My first new bike was a 77 Superglide (silver in color) just like the one in the ad, paid cash after returning from deployment. Still kept my model K for a couple years. I would love to have that even in the red
