Wish I had checked in to this thread earlier and I would have ridden with you. I finally got around to fixing my bike after the hit and run and feeling comfortable back on two wheels.

Ride safe and have fun
I tried to go to Mt. Evans on Sunday. Not sure how close I got, I took video of that too, but transferred it over to a portable hard drive which may have died. I wont know if I lost those videos till I get home tomorrow. Even though I didn't get to the top of Mt. Evans I enjoyed the ride to it. As high as I got, there was a restaurant and a lake/pond. I ended up doing a big loop near it though, and thought it was great. I'm a little jealous of the mountains and canyons with twisty roads you guys have. The poor little Ozark hills I ride a lot of just can't compete with those mountains.

I have a few more trips I want to go on out west, like Jackson Hole and Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon. Perhaps when I take those, I would swing by the Rockies again.

I know the restaurant and gift shop by that pond, it really is a good ride out that way. I usually go through Morrison Canyon to Evergreen and then up to Mt.Evans or just keep going past the restaurant/pond area and hop on i70 back to the Denver area, sometimes veering off to Black hawk and the casinos if I'm feeling lucky
We are very spoilt out here with such a massive amount of country mountain roads to explore.
