Default Best time of year for Utah?

I'm really wanting to ride Utah. A couple of years ago I was heading to Glacier NP. I thought I'd hit Arches NP on the way. It was in August. The forecast there was 103 degrees. I headed to the mountains instead.

Utah really looks beautiful. Soo when is the best time to ride Utah?

Ive ridden southern Utah in April and October and weather was good, and it looks like you'd be coming from the southeast so either would work

We did Utah during the first two weeks of June. It was perfect. We left Washington State late May crossing Snoqualmie pass in 33F sleet and arrive Utah two days later after the last snow. Weather was 80-90 until Moab when temps hit 105 mid afternoon. We did the parks early, before the families and kids. Most motor homes don't hit the parks until 11. We were headed out by 1 PM in the growing warmth headed for our motel with a pool.

Also, we had not issues getting good rates in all areas. Even Memorial Day weekend in Moab.
We're going back and will go late May, early June again. Never needed rain gear until we crossed back over Snoqualmie Pass headed home. First 2 hours of the trip and last 2 hours of the trip.
In Arches,

If time permits and it looks interesting to you, stop in Mexican Hat, eat at the diner at the river bridge. Then just north is Gooseneck State Park. The ridge just north of the park is Moki Dugway. Awesome! After you start up the mountain, the strait away is hard packed gravel but the curves are paved. I've been up it more than once with Gold Wing, and passenger with no problem.

Funny, I've been mapping out Utah on the GPS the past month or so. I had some initial goals but when researching ran across so much more- Monument Valley for example.

Have read July/Aug can be monsoon season? (wet?) I may be heading out mid-June for a week or few. Just have not locked in the 'when' of the trip yet (flexible)

We did the counterclockwise loop, came in through Ely, NV to Hatch, grand staircase, Bryce from Hatch, Zion, through Washington into Arizona, north rim, red rocks, monument valley, to 4 corners, Cortez, Mesa verde, to Moab, Arches, canyon lands, then up the Colorado river into Colorado and Wyoming north. Lots of other stops. We included grand Tetons, and more on our way home.

The best time of the year are the transition seasons (Spring, Fall). I have been in Moab or south when the temps were 110+ in the summer. Hot and dry! You are lucky if you get a few clouds and maybe a shower. The temps start easing in late-September. The riding is typically good into early-November. April and May are nice in Spring before the temps start skyrocketing in June. If you must travel during the summer, I ride from 5 AM until maybe 1:00 PM when the temps just get too hot. Ron

We were there for 10 days starting on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. Great weather, a little hot a couple of days not unrideable.

Following week they were in the 50's, go figure.
