Default Added 17 bag mounts to my 15.

I posted this in the thread in the touring section, but thought I would share here too. Ordered the kit from Boardtracker, the cost was $37, very easy install, and fits perfectly.

When I rode the 17. Right off the bat I noticed the new mounts. I was putting camera gear in the saddle bag and honestly I found them to be a pain in the ***. They do take up a little room and for what I was doing catch on my camera bag. I felt surprised that they would put something in the bag that sticks out so far. They are a good idea but I think they could have a flatter design.

Looks like a sturdy set up, you may even figure out a use for them, like hanging something off of them. In the mean time you'll learn to accommodate them when packing your bags.

The CVO with them amp in the bags and speakers has significantly less room to work with.

I agree that they stick out too far, but I'm all about whatever floats your boat. I'll stick with the Dzus fasteners.

My favorite feature of the new bag fastener is that you can't over tighten them. Separates Harley's offering from all others. Best value on the market in my opinion.
