im thinking harley charges about double what you can find at an indie. I paid $400 to have it replaced on a sportster a while back at my local indie shop. Thats something i wouldnt try to do myself, but i am a terrible mechanic, maybe for someone with the right tools and a manual they could do it. Not me! guaranteed it would be towed in the end lol.

It's really not hard and you can do it yourself if you buy the one special tool you "should" get which is the socket for the nut that retains the front sprocket.
Some get the sprocket locking tool as well but you can do it with an impact with the belt hung around the rear sprocket (tight-ish) and the rear tire on the ground.
Need that, torque wrenches, a primary locking tool (wood works), and basic hand tools.
If your current belt is not frayed or torn on the outside edge, say it's got a small hole in it in the center of the belt, you could probably run that belt for life....
