IMO, getting a jack or dolly all depends on your goal. If you want to get your bike off the ground, then you need a jack. If you just want to be able to roll your bike around, then a dolly is the way to go. I only mention this because the thread above offers jack and dolly opinions.
The thread above mentions the Condor dolly. I ordered one and just put it together yesterday. It's freaking awesome! Very well made in the USA and even my wife was rolling the bike around in the garage yesterday. I currently have a Titan dolly and it is a POS that I can't even give away!! Don't skimp when it comes to a jack or dolly.

I suggested a jack like the J&S because it "kills two birds with one stone" so you get more for your buck:
1. With a jack you can lift your cycle off the floor for some mechanical work and cleaning.
2. With a jack you can easily move the cycle around the garage and park your cycle anywhere...and it will be straight upright (no leaning on the stand)....in my case I push it up against the far wall of my garage. Even my 5' tall 105 lb wife can easily push it around with no effort at all.
Just my 2 cents
