Default Screamin eagle heavy breather elite

I have installed this breather on my '14 street glide as was wondering how does the crankcase vent? The kit come with solid bolts to go in the place of the factory bolts that had the hole through the middle of them for venting.

This is interesting. I just purchased a CVO FLHRSE with this A/C and although I pulled the filter, I have left the A/C unit attached. I will look into this, curious.......

According to the images the two long bolts have holes in them. Was that not the case with the one you installed? Was looking at this one too. Now you've piqued my interest.

The bolt heads were solid with o-rings around them

The bolt heads should be solid but if you look at the picture that was linked above the bolt is hollow and has a hole towards the head end and it should vent thru the bolt and out the hole on the side of the bolt.

I didn't even notice the holes in the shank of the bolts when I installed the breather but even still there is o-rings under the head of the bolts that should seal the crankcase from the breather. Maybe not so. Just curious as to how the crankcase actually vents. I have put about 1600 miles on the bike since installing the breather and the filter is already nasty, so maybe there is some venting going on causing the filter to get dirty so soon. Cleaning it now

What Webo said. I have the SE heavy breather and that is how it vents.

Vents through the bolts into the back plate then into the intake. This should not cause the filter to get "nasty" but may cause carbon/oil residue buildup on TB and pistons.
