Would like to hook up with some friends in Groton, CT , at the casino's..... Coming out of southern Maine... any suggestions on good routes to avoid the slabs through Ma and CT? Don't care how long it takes... just hate 495/ 390/etc. Also, anyone have any trouble with their bikes parked at the casinos??? Thanks.

 

Not sure where you are in MA? However, if you pick up route 32 in MA you can stay on that all the way to casino's.If you are around Southbridge,MA get on route 169 it is a great road. Try and stay away from the Hartford area on 4/29. Miracle Ride about 5,000 bikes projected to attend. Have a good ride.

 

When i go to the casinos i leave from outside of Boston. I take the Mass pike (rte 90) west to exit 10 in Auburn. Pay toll and head for route 395 south into conn. for 60 miles. 395 is a nice 2 lane road with little traffic. If you are going to Foxwoods take exit 85 and if you are going to Mohegan Sun take exit 79A.

 

Rt 12 runs from way up north in MA into CT and down to 164, and 2 which go to Foxwoods. 2 lane hick town country roads
Rt 16from Boston area West also to 12 / 197/ 169 etc
