Laconia bike week
Don't know if this is the right forum but didn't see a better spot.
I ended up at Laconia bike week this past Sat, didn't take the bike because I somehow forgot to register it and the 20 day plates had expired. I haven't been in years and was super excited to visit and look at some parts and bikes.
It's gotten notably smaller since the last visit I had (3-5 years ago) and there are no longer parts dealers in the weirs. Just a ton of clothing vendors and a huge amount of support 81 tents (no offense to any HA guys on here, you guys must be pulling in bank with those tents). Saw a few tents up at the harley dealer but mostly crap stuff, some real uninspired custom builder who's whole shtick was to have a stripper pole on the bike somewhere.
There used to be a number of custom builders, biker build off going on throughout the week, custom accessories from small companies etc. Now I just see a million hot leathers tents, tshirts and far too many progressive booths. Makes you wonder what the 100 year is going to look like at this rate.
Just curious to other members impressions on this. Am I way off here or has this been your impression as well?
