I've never been treated badly anywhere in Vt on a bike. Always friendly smiles and helpful answers. I guess thats a nightmare to some. Enjoy VT, you'll love the roads.

Did not... I participated in Laconia festivities 2 or 3 years back.

You won’t be treated badly at all, I’m just poking fun at the progressive political landscape in Chittenden County with Burlington being the epicenter.

we plan on staying in lake george for 3 or 4 days in mid July , plant to ride the west shore of the lake north, map looks like we ride up to Rouse Pt Vermont and cross over to ride Brand Isle and take the big brodge over to Burlington VT for lunch and then ride east shore back to Lake George . any input on those roads would be great please.

also open to some feedback on daytrips for some good loops in any direction from Lake George

If staying in the Lake George area, make sure you take a backroads ride up to Sporty's Iron Duke Saloon in Minerva, NY. Maybe take a ride to checkout Tahawus.

I always like the Rte 7 north and cross Missisquoi and come down Rte 2 through Grand Isle/N. Hero. Great scenery up there.

We will be there the 25-28th of July
A nice day trip is 9 North to Warrensburg then 28 to North Creek turn onto 28N through to Long Lake, stay on 28N to Blue Mountain Lake and then to 28 , then take 30 to Speculator then to 8 towards Johnsburg then 28 to 9 back to Lake George,
Bring your DEET spray , the black flies and mosquitos will eat you alive

I just checked that out on Google maps. How long of a ride is that loop and how are the roads?

It can be around 4 hrs [ 160+ miles] depending on how you ride--- also how many stops and lunch break .
You can add a few hrs by riding to Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake out of Long Lake and then loop back to complete the ride--if you choose that option , probably 6-7 hrs [ 250 miles]
